The Bottone C model draws its name from the button — an object whose history stretches from the Bronze Age to the present day. The story of the button mirrors the evolution of society and fashion across the centuries: initially purely ornamental (16th century), it later became functional, fastening two edges of fabric (18th century), before ultimately becoming a symbol of status and beauty, playing a defining role in the history of dress.

Bio-acetate: The frame is crafted in Mazzucchelli M49 bio-acetate — 100% recyclable and biodegradable, free from chemical binders to minimise the risk of allergic reactions. Its natural origin is felt immediately: a warm, silky touch that sets it apart from conventional materials.

Front: The minimalist design reinterprets the button through a dual-geometry silhouette. An ultra-thin circular stainless steel structure — available in two finishes: gold and silver — cradles a double-thickness acetate lens that is round on the outside and softly rectangular on the inside. Precision milling celebrates this geometric duality and enhances the chromatic choices, while the opaque top layer interacts with the translucent base in a striking trompe-l'œil effect that reduces visual weight and enhances luminosity.

Temples: The "cravatta" (tie) temple features a metal front section with a thimble-shaped decorative detail, while the acetate tip — coordinated with the front — mirrors the shape of a tie. The terminal reproduces the perforated "o" from the Good's logo.

At the height of the Russian Campaign, Napoleon's army of 600,000 men was reduced in just six months to fewer than 100,000 — ill-equipped to survive the brutal Russian winter. Remarkably, one of the causes of the army's collapse may have been a button. As temperatures plummeted, the tin buttons on the soldiers' uniforms began to crumble, leaving them exposed to the cold. This phenomenon — known as "tin pest" — occurs when tin's crystalline structure is held at very low temperatures for extended periods, causing the metal to disintegrate.
