Inspired by the French architect Claude Parent, refined dandy and unrepentant rebel, one of the most complex figures in the architectural landscape of the last century. A countercurrent figure in architecture, he was the author of creations that modified the experience of architectural space. Parent has always been considered a nonconformist figure in the field of architecture; a student of Le Corbusier, he was the supporter and theorist of the "oblique function", which he had formulated with the philosopher Paul Virilio. Throughout his career, he was committed to rethinking the way human beings live – creating situations of great imbalance – and thus making them aware of their own way of being. Considered a "utopian" architect, he shaped a methodology that played an important role for his contemporaries, for the artists and thinkers of his time.
